Breeding Seabirds in the North East

Join North East ornithologist, Tom Cadwallender, to explore the ecology and behaviour of seabirds on the North East coast.

The North East coast supports rich and vulnerable colonies of breeding seabirds and their life histories are sometimes both amazing and mind-boggling. This presentation will look in detail at some of the strategies, journeys and breeding biology of many of the familiar and not so familiar species that spend the Summer in the North-East of England.

About the Event Lead

Born and raised Northumbrian, Tom is currently a freelance ornithologist, bird tour guide, broadcaster, lecturer, traveller and importantly a Birdwatcher. A British Trust for Ornithology diehard who has been studying seabirds for 5 decades who has an in-depth knowledge of Roseate Tern built on 30 years of fieldwork.
