The emergence of bumblebees is one of the most eagerly anticipated signs of spring.
Join Gordon Port (NHSN Invertebrate Section Coordinator) and Charlotte Rankin (NHSN Conservation Officer), for an online session designed to provide a gentle introduction to bumblebee ecology and identification.
Attendees will learn how to recognise and identify common bumblebees found in the North East. Using these skills, attendees will also learn more about how to submit their sightings to the North East Bee Hunt and contribute to our knowledge of these iconic insects in the region.
You will also have the opportunity to ask questions in a Q & A session with Gordon and Charlotte.
Please note that this is a repeat of a popular event held in February 2021.
Course attendees will receive a Zoom link ahead of the first session. If you are new to Zoom, you can find more information about using it at their website here.
