About this course

Whether complete beginner or experienced naturalist, this special one-day Foundation Course, devised by expert tracker and Mammal Society trainer, Bob Cowley, will open your eyes to the Tracks and Signs all around you - and the unseen wildlife they reveal.

Bob uses an innovative combination of PowerPoint presentations, specially created props, visual tricks, verbal memonics, and a selection of Museum specimens, to present a wealth of material in a way that is both entertaining and memorable.

Following two seminar sessions at the museum, the day finishes with a practical workshop outdoors, demonstrating how to find and interpret examples in the real world.

Level/accessibility

The course will be relaxed and friendly, with no prior knowledge required - all are welcome.
