Description
Join us for a relaxing nature walk and pottery painting session. Open to all skill levels!
About this Event
Celebrate your love of nature this Valentine’s Day with a creative and relaxing session inspired by nature! We’ll start with an informal walk, exploring the changing seasons and finding inspiration in the plants, patterns, and wildlife around us.
After the walk, we’ll head back to decorate pottery, bringing your nature-inspired ideas to life on a ceramic mug. Whether you’re inspired by delicate leaves, emerging wildflowers, or textured bark, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind piece to treasure forever.
Mugs will be returned to 'Canny Crafty' in Gosforth for firing and you will be notified when they are ready for collection.
If you have any questions, feel free to email Ellie at urbannaturalist@newcastle.ac.uk.

About the Event Lead
Ellie Davison works as Urban Naturalist at NHSN, where she is focuses on engaging the community with the wildlife of Newcastle and North Tyneside. Her role is funded by the Reece Foundation as part of The Ouse Burn Way vision, which aims to support a seven-mile urban wildlife corridor from the River Tyne at Ouseburn to Weetslade Country Park.
