NHSN Membership Officer
Salary: £17,718.48 p.a. (Full Time Equivalent £27,316 p.a.) reviewed annually
Contract: Permanent
Employer: Natural History Society of Northumbria
Location: NHSN office at Great North Museum: Hancock in Newcastle. A friendly, lovely office, with kitchen facilities and free staff car parking provided. You will also need to travel to Gosforth Nature Reserve to support events for members and supporters.
We are looking for an organised, friendly and approachable person to join our team at the Natural History Society of Northumbria in Newcastle.
You will have experience of working with databases or CRM systems, ideally alongside Excel spreadsheets, and will be confident using these to support our members and supporters. NHSN uses VeryConnect membership management software, so experience of working with membership databases would be particularly useful.
You will enjoy meeting and talking to people, responding to enquiries and helping our members get the most out of their membership. You will have an excellent eye for detail, with strong organisational and time-management skills, as well as good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Above all, we are looking for someone who is friendly, helpful and enjoys providing a positive experience for our members and supporters.

For almost 200 years, NHSN has inspired wonder in nature across Tyneside. Founded in 1829, we are a local, independent charity with a proud history. Until 1959, we welcomed visitors to the Great North Museum Hancock (now leased to Newcastle University and managed by NEM), which remains home to the NHSN office.
