Description
Join us for a beginner-friendly, practical workshop and learn how to transfer your wildlife observations into scientific records
About this event
Curious about getting involved in citizen science but not sure where to begin? Join us at Gosforth Nature Reserve to discover how simple apps and recording platforms can turn your everyday wildlife sightings into valuable scientific records.
This hands-on workshop will guide you through the process step by step. Together, we’ll look for common plants and invertebrates, take clear record photographs using phones or cameras, and learn how to submit sightings using iRecord and iNaturalist.
By the end of the session, you’ll have the skills and confidence to carry out regular biological recording wherever you are in the North East - helping to build knowledge and support conservation through your observations.
