Gosforth Nature Reserve Appeal

Can you help bring a child closer to nature? We just need £3,984 to reach our target.

Children love to experience nature and your donation helps provide a fully equipped Nature Learning Centre at Gosforth Nature Reserve, so schools and charities can visit in all seasons and all weathers.

With your help we can reach our target of £3,984.  We have already secured £120k from the North East Local Enterprise partnership and grant-making trusts.

With your donation, volunteers can open the doors by Autumn 2021, providing young people with a dry warm space, with a loo, to learn about nature on their doorstep. This means they can stay at Gosforth Nature Reserve for longer.

The more young people understand the natural world, the more chance we have to protect North East nature.

Rubén’s Sponsored Bikeride and Birdwatch

Four-year-old NHSN member Rubén is doing a sponsored Bikeride and Birdwatch to raise funds for Gosforth Nature Reserve.

Donations will help provide a fully equipped Nature Learning Centre so schools and charities can visit in all seasons and all weathers.

This August, Rubén will cycle from home to the nature reserve and back (a six miles round trip) with Daddy, and do some birdwatching with his binoculars when he gets there.

Rubén has always loved birds, trees and bikes. Please do support Rubén by donating to the appeal today.
