Description
Come and help continue the creation of 'dead hedging' at Woolsington Parish Ponds, and create habitat for wildlife.
About this event
Join us for a hands-on Dead Hedging Habitat Creation Day at Woolsington Parish Ponds! We’ll be adding to the existing 'dead hedge'. This natural barrier will help make the nature area more secure while providing shelter for birds, small mammals, insects, and amphibians. Litter pickers also available.
With free refreshments kindly provided by CafeCup, there’ll be plenty of opportunity to pause, chat, and enjoy the surroundings. ☕
This session will be informal, educational, and lots of fun. You’ll learn about the environmental benefits of dead hedging and pick up some practical woodland skills along the way.
Please wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty and sturdy boots. Please also bring work gloves if you have them although some will be provided.
Whether you’re a regular volunteer or simply curious about conservation, everyone is welcome. We hope to see you there! 🌿
