Description

Come along for a wander at Great Park as we look out for starling murmurations and other birds at dusk.

Join us for a dusk walk along the Ouse Burn Way in search of spectacular starling murmurations.

As daylight fades, we’ll head out to watch the evening skies and look for flocks of starlings gathering before they come in to roost. We’ll talk about why murmurations happen, how to spot the signs that one might be forming, and explore the other wildlife active at this magical time of day. While murmurations can never be guaranteed, the winter skies along the Ouse Burn are always full of interest.

Welcome to all — suitable for beginner naturalists and children.

If you have any questions, feel free to email Ellie Davison at UrbanNaturalist@newcastle.ac.uk.
