Bring a date or bring your mates! Spend a morning sketching what you spot from the hide at Gosforth Nature Reserve

About this event

Grab a date or your mates and join us at Gosforth Nature Reserve for Spot & Sketch: Pal-entine’s Edition! Spend a relaxed morning in one of our hides, sketching the wildlife and scenery around you - birds, reeds, or maybe even a sneaky otter or two.

All art materials are provided but please feel free to bring your own, and your event lead will be on hand if you’d like a few tips or a bit of creative inspiration. Warm layers, sturdy shoes, and a flask of something hot are highly recommended - artistic masterpieces are best enjoyed with a hot drink in hand!

It’s the perfect way to celebrate romance, friendship, or just your love of birds in a cosy, creative setting.

Suitable for all skill levels. Please bring binoculars if you have them (although some will be available to borrow).

Fuel for creativity provided! Any dietary needs? Drop Ellie a line at UrbanNaturalist@newcastle.ac.uk. No judgement, just snacks.
