Join local birder Matthew Harrison for a guided walk around Gosforth Nature Reserve, as we identify the wintering bird species taking part in the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch.All bird sightings within the first hour will be recorded and submitted to the RSPB as part of the Big Garden Birdwatch.Likely species for this walk include: Ring-Necked Parakeet, Kingfisher, Nuthatch, Redwing, Marsh tit.Bus directions from Newcastle: Board the X7/X8 bus from Haymarket Bus Station. Get off the bus at BT call centre and walk down Salter’s Lane till you see Gosforth Nature Reserve on your left.
