Description

A casual, welcoming and dog-friendly nature walk exploring the lovely green spaces along the Ouse Burn Way

About this event

Join us for Wildlife Walkies, a relaxed, pup-friendly meetup exploring different greenspaces along the Ouse Burn Way, this time at Woolsington Parish Ponds!

We'll head out for an easy-paced walk to explore the woodland, grassland and wetlands, enjoying the scenery and keeping an eye out for wildlife along the way.

No dog? No problem! Come along and say hello to ours. Please wear suitable footwear, and bring binoculars if you have them, as we’ll be looking out for birds and other wildlife.

This event is informal and open to all, whether you’re a regular walker, a dog owner, or just fancy a gentle way to enjoy nature with others.

If you have any questions, feel free to email Ellie Davison at UrbanNaturalist@newcastle.ac.uk.

Please note: Please keep your dog out of the ponds - they are home to breeding amphibians. If the water is too tempting for your furry friend, please keep them leashed 🐾
