Ladybirds of North East England is Volume 96 of our North East Naturalist series (published 2025).
In 2021, NHSN launched its ‘North East Ladybird Spot’, a citizen science project to increase records and understanding of Ladybirds in the region. Thanks to the hard work of many volunteers and contributers, 8% of Ladybird records for the country are now from the North East.
Ladybirds of North East England brings together knowledge, photographs, maps and stories in a celebration of these loveable and fascinating beetles. A perfect introduction to the species found in the North East.
