Join Student Naturalist, Lekshmi Vijay, for a nature walk around Havannah looking at some of the wildlife that calls this place home.

Join Lekshmi Vijay, NHSN Student Naturalist, for a beginners friendly Nature Walk at Heaton Park!

Explore and enjoy nature in the fantastic Havannah Nature Reserve, situated on the former Hazlerigg Colliery. It is home to a variety of protected and priority species including great crested newts, badgers and a variety of birds of conservation concern. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with nature and learn more about the natural world around us!

Welcome to all - suitable for beginner naturalists and kids.

Accessibility

Toilet facilities are not available. Please wear sturdy footwear as some of the paths can be uneven in places.
