Description

Join Lyndsey Dunn as we explore some of the moths that call Gosforth Nature Reserve their home.

Join Lyndsey Dunn for an evening of moth discovery at Gosforth Nature Reserve. We’ll set up a light trap at dusk and watch nocturnal insects arrive. Along the way, we’ll chat about moth ecology, how to identify common species, and the important role moths play in local ecosystems.

Please note that you will need to wear sturdy footwear and suitable outdoor clothing. Wrap up warm as it can get chilly! Please bring a torch or headtorch as it will be dark. This event is open to everyone, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

This event will be taking at and after dusk - please bring a torch (headtorch or handheld - not a phone torch!).
