About this event
Grange Wood is a fragment of ancient woodland which has been recently thinned, resulting in a very lush growth of the understory.
The wood is now being managed as a wildlife and community resource. We will be particularly looking for insects in the woodland. This event is suitable for beginners and those with experience – there is something for everyone.
There are public toilets at the meeting point.
*In the event of poor weather, such as heavy rain, this visit may be cancelled, if in doubt please ‘phone 07941 710162 to confirm.
If you take any photos while attending the event, please do share them with NHSN by emailing james.common@newcastle.ac.uk.
