About this event

Join NHSN Senior Naturalist James Common for a walk around Jesmond Dene with a focus on the many species of fern that grow there.

Species to tick off include:

Male-fern, Borrer's Male-fern, Golden-scaly Male-fern, Hart's-tongue, Maidenhair Spleenwort, Wall-rue, Lady-fern, Broad Buckler-fern, Hard Shield-fern, Soft Shield-fern, Autumn Fern, Hard Fern.

This will be a relaxed, explorative walk. Please wear clothing suitable for the weather and sturdy footwear, and also perhaps optics/a hand lens, snacks/a flask of something warm to drink if you would like!
