North East Naturalist

Explore the latest research on North East nature

The North East Naturalist is published in two volumes per year, one of which, Northumberland Coastal Wildlife, is an annual report of the wildlife of key sites along the Northumberland coast.

You can purchase copies online or you can view any of our published papers by visiting our library in the Great North Museum: Hancock.

NHSN full members who pay the extra £6 membership subscription receive printed copies by post. If you are a member you can also download or read the most recent copies by logging into the members’ area. We have made a free example copy available to download below.

If you would like to contribute a paper, please contact us. We would be very pleased to hear from you and welcome submissions on all areas of North East nature.
