Vacancy for an Activity Assistant

We are looking for an Activity Assistant to help deliver nature activities as part of Gosforth’s Wild Web, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. 

Are you a creative person who enjoys sharing your enthusiasm with others around you? Are you looking to gain some valuable paid experience? Do you like planning and running nature activities? If so, then the Natural History Society of Northumbria would love to hear from you! 

Gosforth’s Wild Web engages with local communities to notice and enjoy nature on their doorstep, cultivating the appreciation of the big and small things, with Gosforth Nature Reserve at its centre, in a 10 X 10 kilometre square area, to mark the reserve’s centenary in 2024.  

As the Activity Assistant, you will be helping to deliver nature-based activities, outdoors and indoors, with community groups and schools. You will work with local residents, teachers and school children, working alongside our Senior Nature Ranger and enthusiastic NHSN Volunteers.
