Can you help bring a child closer to nature?
We just need £10,000 to reach our target.
Children love to experience nature and your donation helps provide a fully equipped Nature Learning Centre at Gosforth Nature Reserve, so schools and charities can visit in all seasons and all weathers.
With your help we can reach our target of £10,000. We have already secured £120k from the North East Local Enterprise partnership and grant-making trusts.
With your donation, volunteers can open the doors by Autumn 2021, providing young people with a dry warm space, with a loo, to learn about nature on their doorstep. This means they can stay at Gosforth Nature Reserve for longer.
The more young people understand the natural world, the more chance we have to protect North East nature.
Please donate what you can
£5, £10, £20, or choose your amount. Every little really does help.
Alternatively, you can donate by:
- Sending a cheque payable to the “Natural History Society of Northumbria” to NHSN, GNM: Hancock, Barras Bridge, Newcastle, NE2 4PT
- Cash or card when visiting Gosforth Nature Reserve.
If you already Gift Aid your membership, then any donation you make will also be eligible for Gift Aid. This means that your donation will be worth an extra 20% to us at no cost to you. If you do not already Gift Aid your membership but would like to do so, then please let us know. You can also download a gift aid form.
